Jim's background includes decades of consistent training with weighted jump rope and Shotokan karate, complemented by a range of strength and conditioning exercises.

At 69, Jim brings decades of training experience to JumpIron, including lessons learned from building fitness, recovering from injuries, and learning how to train hard while reducing unnecessary risk.

That long-term experience shaped Jim's focus on an efficient, minimalist workout plan that reduces the risk of injury.

Volunteer Experience at Braille Institute

As a volunteer, Jim developed and launched the weekly Karate & Fitness class for blind and low-vision adults at Braille Institute Los Angeles in January 2024 and continues as its volunteer instructor.

This volunteer teaching experience has helped refine Jim’s approach to precise verbal instruction, safe class organization, and adapting challenging exercise to a wide range of abilities.

Jim’s volunteer work at Braille Institute is separate from JumpIron. JumpIron is an independent business. Braille Institute is not part of JumpIron and does not sponsor, operate, manage, or endorse JumpIron.
